Geneva (Agency). US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed to reinstate their recalled diplomats. Biden and Putin met in Geneva, Switzerland, on Wednesday. The talks came at a time when relations between the two countries are said to be at an all-time low.
Speaking at a press conference after the talks, Russian President Vladimir Putin said there was no animosity in the talks. He also said that the two presidents have agreed on constructive cooperation. He also said the two diplomats, who had been recalled earlier, had agreed to return to work, according to the BBC.
A few months before the talks, US President Biden called Putin a “murderer.” Russia has recalled its ambassador to Washington and the US ambassador to Moscow.
After Wednesday’s talks, the two countries agreed to hold diplomatic talks.
