The government has increased the salaries of employees. During his budget speech on Saturday, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel announced an increase of Rs 2,000 per month with effect from July 20.
During the budget speech, the Finance Minister said, “The services provided to the national servants will be made up-to-date.” He said that the monthly salary has been increased by Rs 2,000 with effect from July 20 to boost the morale of the civil servants even though the situation was not conducive to increase the salary due to rising expenses in the management of Covid-19.
The Finance Minister also said that the public service would be made effective by boosting the morale of the civil servants. The government will provide accident insurance of Rs. 1 million and health insurance of Rs. 1 million to the civil servants. Poudel said that arrangements will be made to fill the vacancies in the civil service within six months. Collective accommodation will also be provided for such employees.
