New Delhi | June 07, 2021 : As India on Monday registered a little over one lakh new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, several states began their unlocking process in a stepwise manner. The screening of children for clinical trials of Covaxin at AIIMS in Delhi also started on Monday.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced the ‘Jahan vote, Wahan vaccination’ campaign. “Under this campaign, we will tell people to visit their designated polling stations to get vaccinated. Door-to-door vaccination to be done soon. In 4 weeks, all above 45 years of age to be vaccinated,” he said.
The Union Health Ministry and Family Welfare’s directorate general of health services (DGHS) has issued revised guidelines to stop the use of Ivermectin and Doxycycline in Covid-19 treatment. The ministry has asked medical officials to be extremely cautious while using the drugs.
The health ministry on Monday said that India had administered 13,90,916 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s total tally of inoculation to 23,27,86,482.
