The Health Ministry reports 169 new deaths including figures from the past few days based on statistics from the Nepal Army.
Nepal on Tuesday reported 8,387 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 528,848.
Similarly, 249 people tested positive in a total of 630 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported 169 Covid-19-related fatalities, which included the number of deaths managed by Nepal Army on different dates.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 6,700. The number of active cases stands at 117,261.
According to the ministry, 404,887 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 6,404 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 2,613 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 1,863 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 427 in Lalitpur and 323 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 1,069 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 510 in Province 2, 4,030 in Bagmati, 1,152 in Gandaki, 697 in Lumbini, 232 in Karnali and 697 in Sudurpaschim.
