Mahanta Thakur of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) is set to join the government. The swearing in of the ministers is scheduled for 8 pm.
According to JSP sources, the government is headed by senior leader Rajendra Mahato. Sharad Singh Bhandari, Anil Jha, Laxman Lal Karna, Vimal Srivastava, Uma Shankar Aragaria, Chanda Chaudhary and Ekbal Mia will be the ministers.
Mahato will be the Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister, while Bhandari will be the Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation. While Jha is in charge of the Ministry of Drinking Water and Karna, Srivastava is in charge of the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, and Aragaria is in charge of the Ministry of Forest and Environment.
Similarly, Chaudhary will be given the responsibility of the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens and Ekwal Mia will be given the responsibility of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, said a Jaspa leader.
Jaspa has also decided on two ministers of state. Chandrakant Chaudhary will be the Minister of State for Energy and Renuka Gurung Women and Children.
