former house staff members of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput have turned into witnesses in a drug-related case.
The NCB had summoned Keshav Bachner and Neeraj Singh to join the probe against 35 individuals, including Rajput’s companion Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik.
Officials have now recorded the statements of both Keshav Bachner and Neeraj Singh. The duo were among the four individuals present at Rajput’s Bandra home at the time of his death by suicide on June 14 of last year.
Just last week, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had arrested Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend and flatmate Sidharth Pithani in connection with the same case.
The NCB had launched a probe into the matter last year following reports over alleged use of banned drugs by the late actor and members of his inner circle. Over the course of the past year, the Mumbai division of the NCB has made over 30 arrests in connection with the case.
Actor Rhea Chakraborty was lodged at Mumbai’s Byculla jail for 28 days before the Bombay High Court granted her bail on October 20. Chakraborty’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, had claimed that Sushant Singh Rajput’s family was ‘very vindicative’ towards her.
